Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CareerOlive ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Services you confirm that you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and any policies referenced herein.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. By using the Services you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements and have the authority to enter into this agreement. If you are registering on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.

3. Accounts, Profiles & Security

Certain features require creating an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Job Postings & Applications

Employers may post job listings and search candidate profiles. Job seekers may create profiles, upload resumes, and apply for positions. You are responsible for the content of your postings, applications, and profiles. We do not guarantee responses or hires. Employers must comply with all applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws when posting jobs or evaluating candidates.

5. Payments & Billing

Some Services may be offered for a fee. If you purchase paid features, you agree to the payment terms presented at purchase (including pricing, billing cycles, and refund policies). All fees are non-refundable except as expressly provided. We may use third-party payment processors; their terms and privacy practices also apply.

6. User Content & Licenses

"User Content" means all information, text, resumes, job descriptions, images, and other material you submit. You retain ownership of your User Content, but by submitting it you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and otherwise use the content to operate and improve the Services, to allow employers and candidates to discover and interact with it, and for related business purposes. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate third-party rights or laws.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law;
• Post fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, obscene, defamatory, or infringing content;
• Access or search the Services by automated means (scraping, bots) without our permission;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers or networks connected to the Services;
• Impersonate another person or entity or falsify your affiliation;
• Solicit personal data from minors or attempt to collect sensitive personal information unless explicitly permitted.

All intellectual property rights in the Services (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services without our prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we, our affiliates, or our licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CareerOlive and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your breach of these Terms, your User Content, or your violation of applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time by following the account deletion process. Termination does not relieve you of obligations that accrued prior to termination nor limits rights that may arise after termination (e.g., indemnification).

13. Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and disclose information.

14. Changes to Services or Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Services (or any part) at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, by posting the amended Terms on the site). Continued use of the Services after notice constitutes acceptance of the changes.
