Life Sciences Patent Agent

Job Description:

The Life Sciences Patent Agent will prepare draft patent applications, respond to communications from patent offices, and analyze technological aspects of inventions. They will also conduct regulatory research, communicate with clients and staff, and provide direction and guidance to legal support staff. The ideal candidate has a background in life sciences, advanced degrees preferred, and experience in patent prosecution. They must have excellent academic record, be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and possess strong investigative and problem resolution skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare draft patent applications

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences

- Licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office preferred

- Ability to analyze, interpret, and draw inferences from research findings
