Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our dynamic law firm in Seattle and Spokane offices. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and representation to healthcare providers, hospitals, nursing facilities, product manufactures and academic medical centers. Research legal issues and medical topics, prepare and file briefs, motions, and other necessary judicial pleadings. Participate in case management including strategy development. Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with internal and external clients. Increase knowledge in medical malpractice and insurance defense law, monitor changes, and pursue continuing legal education. Accurately and promptly capture and record billable and non-billable work. Meet annual billable hours requirement of 1,900 hours. Required Skills: Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Strategic thinking to meet client objectives. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Intermediate advocacy and negotiation skills. Skilled at time management and working effectively under pressure in high-paced and dynamic environments. Skilled at prioritizing tasks, effectively delegating when appropriate, and exercising judgment in decision-making when working independently. Education and Experience: Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the State of Washington. Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation. Medical malpractice, personal injury, or insurance defense experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ProLaw preferred. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation range of $110,000 - 135,000 annual salary. Annual bonus based on billable hours.
