Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Litigation Attorney to join our thriving legal team in our VA, MD, or NJ offices. This role focuses primarily on federal district court litigation of immigration cases, including habeas corpus petitions, lawsuits for injunctive relief, Administrative Procedure Act review of denied visa petitions, and contested mandamus cases against USCIS and the Department of State.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Fairfax, VA, Silver Spring, MD, or Newark, NJ, with the expectation of on-site presence three days a week.

Key Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis for immigration law cases.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
  • Provide effective guidance and support to clients throughout the immigration process.
  • Lead and manage multiple case files with strong organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance legal strategies and case outcomes.
  • Stay updated on evolving immigration laws and policies to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Active bar membership.
  • A minimum of 1 year of immigration experience handling immigration litigation matters in the federal district court.
  • Demonstrated experience in either immigration law or federal litigation, with the ability to navigate both areas effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research using legal platforms.
  • Willingness to travel, usually no more than once or twice a month, within the United States to handle in-person court hearings or present at conferences.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages.
  • Additional experience in specific immigration law specialties or areas of practice.
