Job Description:
Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts. Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with senior attorneys and paralegals. Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff. Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action. Conduct legal research and analysis for hearings, EOIR proceedings, and client consultations. Advise clients on legal strategies and solutions to resolve conflicts in their cases. Collaborate with associates and clients to ensure efficient case management and timely resolution. Perform pre-sale consultations, assess eligibility, and address client qualification inquiries. Handle client communications professionally through email, phone, and in-person interactions. Stay updated on immigration law changes, participate in training, and uphold confidentiality and data protection standards. Requirements: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active bar license in good standing from any U.S. state or Puerto Rico. Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients. At least 3 years of experience as an Associate Attorney, preferred with expertise in Immigration Law.
