Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team. Key Responsibilities: * Initial File Review, drafting initial evaluations and discovery plans * Deposing and defending party depositions * Working with paralegals on obtaining, reviewing and summarizing medical records * Maintaining contact with clients and reporting * Retaining and consulting with expert witnesses * Taking and defending expert witness depositions * Legal research and memoranda when necessary * Preparing Trial Documents Primary Responsibilities: * Initial File Review, drafting initial evaluations and discovery plans • Deposing and defending party depositions • Working with paralegals on obtaining, reviewing and summarizing medical records • Maintaining contact with clients and reporting • Retaining and consulting with expert witnesses • Taking and defending expert witness depositions • Legal research and memoranda when necessary • Preparing Trial Documents Qualifications: * Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school * Active California State Bar license * Previous experience with insurance defense law * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite * Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills * High attention to detail * Knowledge of Discovery Rules and general procedures * Effectiveness in working both independently and collaboratively * Excellent client relations * Timely reporting Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and ability.
