Litigation and Enforcement Associate

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Litigation and Enforcement Associate to join our market-leading Fintech and Financial Advisory practice. The ideal candidate will have experience with and be responsible for supporting senior attorneys and clients with litigation, government investigations, and enforcement matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing all stages of litigation discovery and responses to government subpoenas and civil investigative demands

• Assisting with preparations for negotiations with government enforcement attorneys regarding scope of investigation and preparing client advocacy materials

• Participating in witness and client interviews and depositions

• Preparing legal memoranda, correspondence to clients and opposing counsel, reports, motions, briefs, pleadings, and settlement agreements

• Assisting with the development of litigation and settlement strategies for cases in federal and state court

• Performing legal research on federal and state consumer financial services laws and regulations

• Communicating in writing and orally with clients and senior attorneys regarding strategy, regulatory risk, and business operations

• Writing, editing, and reviewing reports, communications, presentations, and articles

Requirements:

A juris doctorate degree and membership to the State Bar of the desired office is required. Litigation and/or enforcement experience required, and consumer financial services and/or payments experience are preferred.
