Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned attorney to manage case litigation, conduct legal research, draft documents, oversee client files, and offer comprehensive legal advice. The ideal candidate will have a strong courtroom presence, excellent legal research skills, and proficient writing abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
  • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
  • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys

The responsibilities include exceeding billable hour requirements, performing client needs assessments, developing strategic case plans, communicating with clients, preparing for and attending court hearings and trials, drafting all manner of pleadings, communicating with opposing counsel and court professionals, drafting correspondence, working closely with support staff to ensure effectiveness and client satisfaction, keeping files organized, collaborating with clients, senior associates, and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently, analyzing conflicts in legal matters, advising clients on solutions, and negotiating on behalf of clients.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
  • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
