Personal Bankruptcy Attorney

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Personal Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our firm, you will be responsible for obtaining positive resolutions for clients through confirmation, discharge, settlement, etc., researching and constructing new angles/tactics to win against well-funded adversaries, managing the assigned client base, negotiating with opposing counsels, handling motions, discovery, depositions and hearings, representing clients before opposing counsel and Judges in court, and documenting activity and progress in our Case Management and Billing Systems.

Key Requirements:

• Licensed Texas Attorney in good standing

Skills & Attributes:

• Must be able to successfully prioritize cases & clients
• Must seek to be proficient in all phases of personal bankruptcy and litigation (drafting, arguing motions, etc.)
• Must be proficient in research, drafting motions and oral arguments
• Must enjoy representing clients in court
• Must possess a high level of attention to detail
• Must have a willing attitude, ready to help any team member
• Must enjoy negotiating, and desire positive mutually beneficial outcomes

Culture & Work Environment:

We value teamwork and clear communication. Cases are assigned an attorney, paralegal, a case manager, & legal assistant. These non-attorney team members are instrumental in the overall support and success of cases. They are responsible for client intake, billing/collections, document coordination, the drafting of pleadings, discovery, and motions, day-to-day client relations, e-filing, and other tasks.
