Associate Attorney

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney for our West Des Moines or Davenport office. Your duties will include drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and screening new clients.

Responsibilities:

• Draft summons/complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings
• Legal Research
• Brief Writing 
• Screening Potential Clients
• Trial Preparation 
• Other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney

Requirements:

• Qualified candidates will have a Juris Doctorate degree and are licensed by the Iowa State Bar
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills
• Innovative problem resolution
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced/dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality
