Job Description:
We seek an experienced bankruptcy attorney with a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. Responsibilities include managing routine matters, drafting pleadings, attending hearings, and responding to firm-wide inquiries. Requirements include license to practice law in North Carolina or Tennessee, computer literacy, professionalism, attention to detail, time management, communication skills, and a law degree. Key responsibilities include: - Managing bankruptcy routine matters - Drafting and reviewing pleadings and claims - Attending scheduled hearings - Responding to general firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries - Reviewing filings on behalf of clients - Monitoring electronic filings (ECFs) - Resolving routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc. - Regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court Key requirements include: - Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws - Computer literacy - Professionalism - Attention to detail - Time management - Communication skills - Law degree - JD - Barred in North Carolina or Tennessee - Admitted to Bankruptcy Courts in North Carolina or Tennessee
