Job Description:
Orrick is actively recruiting federal district court law clerks nationwide to join our dynamic Intellectual Property Litigation practice upon completion of their clerkship. The ideal candidates will have two to six years of prior law firm experience in intellectual property and/or patent litigation. We seek highly motivated and academically qualified individuals with excellent research and writing skills, ability to work independently and possess strong advocacy ability.
Successful candidates may join any of Orrick's U.S. offices. The majority of our U.S. Intellectual Property team is based in our Southern California, Bay Area, and East Coast offices.
Qualifications include:
- Current experience as a judicial clerk for a minimum of one year
- Two to six years of prior law firm experience
- A bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred
- Candidates must be highly motivated and possess excellent academic credentials along with superior writing and communication skills
- Membership to the State Bar of the office of the state in which the candidate expects to be located is required
