Job Description:

We are seeking a midlevel associate to join our robust FERC regulatory practice. The ideal candidate will support a nationally recognized FERC practice advising electric and natural gas utilities, developers of generation, storage, transmission, and other energy infrastructure, and data center clients with complex energy and interconnection needs.

The role will be approximately 80% FERC regulatory work, with the remainder supporting a growing mix of data center- related and energy transactional matters. Key responsibilities include advising clients on matters arising under the Federal Power Act and Natural Gas Act, representing utilities, developers, and market participants before FERC in regulatory proceedings, conducting legal research, drafting filings, and managing agency interactions.

Qualifications include a JD from an accredited law school, admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction, 3- 5 years of relevant experience, meaningful experience with FERC regulatory matters, strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, large law firm or government experience, experience with electric and/or natural gas regulatory work, familiarity with interconnection and energy infrastructure development, and interest in working at the intersection of regulation, infrastructure investment, and emerging energy demands.
