Associate Tax Attorney

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Tax Attorney to join our elite boutique firm. You will represent clients in audits, collections, state court, Tax Court, and District Court matters, and lead initial consultations with qualified prospective clients.

Responsibilities include:

1. Represent clients in audits, collections, state court, Tax Court, and District Court matters.
2. Lead initial consultations with qualified prospective clients and determine strategic direction.
3. Develop and execute strategies for complex tax controversy cases.
4. Draft correspondence, protests, petitions, and litigation filings.
5. Review and analyze tax returns, accounting reports, and financial documentation.
6. Conduct deep research in tax statutes, regulations, case law, IRS guidance, and the Internal Revenue Manual.
7. Maintain organized, proactive case management in our case management system.
8. Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent client service and results.
