Job Description:
DLA Piper is seeking an Of Counsel to join our corporate practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience advising domestic and international companies seeking to expand or relocate in the US; identifying and negotiating discretionary economic development incentives. The position can be based out of any US office. We seek candidates who are process driven, have immediately transferable skills, strong academic backgrounds, and who can mentor more junior associates on the team. Key Responsibilities: - Advise domestic and international companies seeking to expand or relocate in the US - Identify and negotiate discretionary economic development incentives - Work collaboratively with a highly integrated team serving global clients - Develop and implement strategic plans for clients - Conduct complex research and analysis to provide data-driven insights - Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties - Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work product - Foster positive work relationships and comply with firm policies and practices We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k). Key Requirements: - Minimum of 8 years of experience advising domestic and international companies seeking to expand or relocate in the US - Strong research, analytical, and writing skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multi-task and prioritize is also required - Admission in the bar for the jurisdiction in which you are applying - Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 firm experience.
