Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Landlord/Tenant Litigation Attorney with experience handling disputes in Housing Court and Supreme Court, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation matters.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully representing sophisticated clients, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and the ability to draft persuasive motion and appellate-level submissions. Trial and appellate experience is a strong plus, and candidates should have an interest in participating in marketing initiatives and developing long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Research and draft legal documents
- Handle complex commercial and residential real estate litigation
- Represent landlords, developers, managing agents, investors, and condominium boards in Housing Court and Supreme Court
- Attend court appearances, depositions, argue motions, and conduct trials
- Participate in marketing activities, including drafting articles and publications
Requirements include:
- High degree of academic achievement with a law degree from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active New York State Bar license in good standing
- 2-5 years of Landlord/Tenant litigation experience
- Experience in Housing Court and Supreme Court is required
- Appellate exposure or experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional analytical, research, and negotiation skills
- Portable book of business is a plus but not required
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to tackle all assigned tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other legal software
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and pride in delivering quality work
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
