Patent Agent or Associate - Life Science Focus

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Patent Agent or Associate with strong background in chemistry or molecular biology to join our Intellectual Property practice. As key member of IP team, you will support biotech and pharmaceutical clients by preparing and prosecuting patent applications, performing strategic portfolio analysis, and advising on patentability, infringement, and freedom-to-operate issues. Responsibilities include drafting high-quality patent applications, conducting prior art and FTO analyses, collaborating with clients and inventors to align IP strategy with business goals, coordinating with foreign counsel for global prosecution efforts, and staying current with patent law developments and emerging technologies. Requirements include advanced degree in chemistry or related life sciences, admission to practice before the USPTO, minimum of 3 years of patent prosecution experience in therapeutics space, solid understanding of patent strategy for life science companies, and exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills.
