IP&T Patent Agent

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Patent Agent to join our dynamic Intellectual Property & Technology (IP&T) practice at Dentons US LLP. You will collaborate with our close-knit team on exciting, high-stakes inventions and take on responsibilities such as drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Key requirements include a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, and at least 5 years of significant hands-on experience as a patent agent.

Our clients span a wide range of technologies, so versatility, adaptability, curiosity, and openness to learning is a must. You will work on cutting-edge technology, evaluate inventions, advise clients on invention disclosures, and provide technical support across the practice.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting US patent applications, guiding prosecution of foreign patent applications, contributing to opinion work, client counseling, supporting litigation efforts, and providing hands-on technical support. You will also have access to all the resources of a top global firm behind you.

The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $230,000, based on location and experience.
