Job Description:
CMBG3 Law is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Emerging Practices Litigation group. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of litigation experience and a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. The position involves drafting motions, preparing discovery, and conducting depositions. Strong client service skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail are required. Responsibilities include:
- Draft original motions, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents in complex matters. Prepare and respond to written discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses exchanged with multiple parties. Develop and advance case defenses, litigation strategy, and trial themes with increasing autonomy. Analyze and apply state and federal case law, statutes, and regulatory authority to case facts in support of pre-trial motions and other submissions. Interview, prepare, and examine fact witnesses, expert witnesses, and corporate representatives for testimony in litigation or before regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-7 years of litigation experience in a law firm. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active admission to practice law, with good standing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Rhode Island. Additional State licenses are highly preferred.
