Innovation Attorney

Job Description:

Orrick has an excellent opportunity for a Strategic Advisory and Government Enforcement (SAGE) Innovation Attorney. The SAGE Innovation Attorney will support the Firm s innovation efforts to improve the delivery of legal services through the trifecta of people, process, and technology, specifically focusing on our SAGE business unit.

The role reports to the Managing Director of Practice Innovation and works in close collaboration with all members and leadership of the SAGE business unit. Responsibilities include:

• Support, coordinate, and lead projects to streamline and improve the delivery of legal services, including:
• Optimizing client service delivery and increasing efficiencies across the SAGE business unit.
• Serving as a one-on-one resource for practice resource questions and issues.

The SAGE Innovation Attorney will support efforts to integrate technology, including generative AI, into the practice of law. Key responsibilities include:

• Vetting, piloting, and supporting the onboarding of technology to support the legal practice.
• Identifying, developing, promoting and training on generative AI use cases for the practice.

The role also includes developing and improving client-facing solutions, including:

• Designing and improving solutions to share matter metrics, data, and regulatory insights with clients and teams.
• Capturing and leveraging matter, experience, and regulatory data to improve and inform future matters.

This position requires a strong analytical, project management, prioritization, and organization skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively at all organizational levels.
